Accomplishments:
Founder Sharon Glickman is an Image Consultant, Keynote Speaker, and Image Coach. She builds her
individual and executive Image Consulting practice on the foundation
of her vast experience launching and leading personal appearance-related
retail and marketing operations.
Sharon started out in the image business as a young high-fashion runway model. This is where she learned the importance of image, fashion, makeup, wardrobe, and how to interact with the public.
From 1985 to 1989 she founded her own upscale
women’s apparel boutique in Washington, D.C. and grew revenues
30 percent from the first to second year, 40 percent the third
year and fifty percent the fourth year.
In 1989 she became a store manager of a
Washington fur salon and increased sales 78 percent the first year.
The next two years she went on to manage salon operations for six
area stores and the division she managed was number one for sales
volume out of 100 stores nationwide.
As store manager of Houston’s upscale
Lillie Rubin in 1997, she turned store sales around within five
months and elevated the store’s ranking from 25th to 3rd
of 40 retail stores nationwide.
When she began presenting home trunk shows
of the prestigious Worth Collection women’s clothing line,
Sharon achieved millennium sales status – selling over $1
million in clothing – within her first year and repeated
that her second year.
Most recently she was asked to serve as the
startup area sales manager for a new executive women’s trunk
clothing line, Nina McLemore, and this new concept company is now
in its third year.
Sharon’s colorful background also
includes having been: marketing director for a cosmetic dermatology
practice; a counselor at an adolescent substance abuse crisis center;
marketing assistant to the leader of a scrap recycling company;
manager of a Valentino boutique; a high-fashion runway model and
producer of fashion shows for various stores, clothing lines and
charities.
